Our Story

Pingo Pongo began with a simple idea that the right toys can shape how children learn, grow and see the world.

We are a family-run business, built around a small and friendly team we think of as extended family.

The name comes from two of our children — Pingo (Mahi) and Pongo (Sachi). There was a further addition Pengo (Annika) who arrived after the store opened. They continue to inspire everything we do.

Pingo Pongo was created as a space for both children and parents. Every item is chosen with a learning element, often in ways children don’t even realise. We favour more traditional toys, with minimal battery use, to encourage creativity, imagination and independent play.

We believe the best learning happens through play.

Our collection focuses on toys that support development while still feeling fun, engaging and timeless.

As parents ourselves, we share what we’ve genuinely found useful, always recognising that every child is different.

Our Chelsea store is home to over 90 thoughtfully selected brands, a space designed to be explored.
